Mainsail Cover

Not ONLY did I score with a fantastic scarlet-colored mainsail cover from Lee Sail Covers, but I was able to find four new winch covers to match - ON CLEARANCE!!! Quality fabric and construction. And shipped so quickly!! Yay Lee Sail Covers!!

After watching the Love of my Life struggle each and every time with our old blue mainsail cover, I knew just what to get him for Father's Day! "Honeybunch" is our beautiful Bombay Clipper with clean scarlet-colored striping and bottom paint. Its old blue mainsail cover had seen its day - it was worn, torn, and looked forlorn! Lee Sails came to our rescue!! The website was easy to navigate, the measuring instructions were easy to follow, and the color selection was awesome! The new cover was quickly delivered, and my Honey couldn't wait to try it out. The cover fits perfectly, and it's made well! Thank you, Lee Sails, for making this Father's Day gift a success!

Much better than my old cover, though I'm unsure about the choice to use velcro over the zipper on the mast end of the cover. Over time that stuff becomes pretty useless, and I would've preferred snaps up on the leading edge like I have below the boom.

I was pleased how fast the sail cover came. Six days from order to receipt. The material is heavier than I thought it would be. I'm used to my old canvas cover. This new cover feels almost the same. Dimensions are correct. Stitching is well done. We like it. My only suggestion would be about the twist locks. The locks and grommets are on opposite sides from what we are used to with our old cover. Maybe offer a choice of sides.

I just received my sail cover so I can't speak to longevity, but the quality is pretty good and the it came very fast. I was surprised that it came so fast given that the covers are made to order. My previous sail cover was denim, so it looked cool but wore out after 2-3 years. Now it's a bit less cool looking (though there are plenty of colors to choose from), but I hope it will last longer.

My order was delivered promptly and is exactly what I hoped for. I have on my boom now and it fits perfectly.

After working with a sailmaker for about 15 years , I have a pretty good idea how to screw up main s'l covers . I didn't feel comfortable ordering one on line , but what the heck . After measuring several times , I sent in my order , and was pleasantly suprized to get my covers in several days and a perfect fit . The measuring guide was dead on . Received the cover promptly - no overseas shipping involved. :-) Well made, fits well. Minor quibbles: - Extra charge for UV resistant thread. It's a sailcover. It protects the sail from UV. - No lines in the grommets at the boom and mast ends. Easy fix. - Zipper + velcro closure at the mast is a bit of overkill. Would be simpler and easier to have twistlocks or quick release clips instead (not sure which is which). All-in-all very satisfied.

Nicely done. No complaints. Good customer clarification as well.
